Jack Blair Obituary, Death – On Monday, October 2, 2023, Jack Daniel Blair of Albuquerque, New Mexico, who was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, on May 31, 1942, died away quietly at home with his wife Marlene and daughters Kristin Blair Dugger and Leslie Johnson at his side. Jack had retired from the US Department of Energy’s Office of Inspector General and was a proud graduate of New Mexico State University. But what he was most passionate about were his years of government duty as a Special Agent and Drug Enforcement Coordinator, first with the US Border Patrol and subsequently the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Between 1959 and 1963, he was honorably discharged from the New Mexico National Guard. In addition, Jack loved to play tennis and was a member of the Albuquerque Tennis Club. He spent several years as a player and captain for USTA League teams, helping them to qualify for 27 Sectional Championships and one Hawaii National Championship. In addition to spending time with his loved ones and friends, Jack cherished painting and taking walks with his dog, Mollie.

All who knew him will deeply miss him. Jack started “Love Serving Love” to benefit the underprivileged and earn money and donations for the tennis community in Albuquerque. Daniel L. Judkins, her sister; Carl “Gene” Judkins, his brother-in-law; Tommy Blair, his nephew; and Carlene Judkins, her niece,

preceded him in death. Marlene Blair, his spouse of 27 years, Kimberley Blair Trezise (Chris), Kristin Blair Dugger (Neil), Leslie Johnson, and Lauren Hegna (Corey), Grady Enger, his brother, Lauren Trezise Hanthorn (Tim), Michael Trezise, Jack Dugger, Blair Dugger, Jacob Hegna, and Emily Hegna, Asher Hanthorn, Nephews Dan Judkins (Celia), Scott Blair (Maureen), Michael “Lance” Blair (Michele), and Neice Stacey Rossi (Mike). Jack wrote his wife Marlene a special note that said, “I’ll be waiting for you. I cherish you.”
